Working with GPs

Health for Kids in the South East aims to involve General Practitioners in all aspects of health care for children. GPs can benefit from the activities of Health for Kids in the South East by:

1. Registering as a child-friendly GP with the Health for Kids Network
2. Using the dedicated telephone advice line for GPs to obtain advice from the paediatrician on call at Monash Medical Centre.
3. Attending educational activities
4. Using the evidence based guidelines and parent information developed by the project for:
   

   • Asthma Guideline Resources - Asthma Guideline Highlights for GPs
   • Croup Guideline Resources - Croup Guideline Highlights for GPs
   • Gastroenteritis Guideline Resources - Gastroenteritis Guideline Highlights for GPs
   • Bronchiolitis Guideline Resources - Bronchiolitis Guideline Highlights for GPs
5. Referring children to Paediatric Asthma Education available at low cost at Central Bayside and Cardinia Casey Community Health Services
